Michala Clante Bendixen has massive experience in doing lectures and presentations about refugees. She canexplain the way through the Danish asylum system so that you don't need to be a law student to understand it, and she knows her numbers and statistics. Michala has a special position on the refugee scene in Denmark, moving independently among researchers, lawyers, practicians, volunteers and activists – not to mention refugees themselves. Michala was granted the Human Rights Award 2014 and was nominated Dane of the Year by the newspaper Berlingske, she is the person behind REFUGEES.DK and chair of the organisation Refugees Welcome, Denmark. Beside her work for Refugees Welcome, Michala is the country coordinator for Denmark on the EU commission's website for integration EWSI.
